| Q | Do you do custom trips? |
| A | Yes, please see our Custom Trips page. Call us and will be happy to hand tailor your own custom journey. |
| Q | How big are the groups? |
| A | Our groups are limited to 12, but are normally range between 6 and 8. A large percentage of our groups are repeat clients and hopefully you will be, too! |
| Q | Trip Ratings ~ how difficult? |
| A | Trips are generally “Easy” “Moderate” or “Strenuous.” “Easy” is usually a low altitude trip (under 10, 000 feet). “Moderate” typically involves some elevation (up to 14,000 feet) and “Strenuous” above 14,000 feet. Ratings are subjective and vary due to weather and trail conditions. Please feel free to contact us personally to discuss the difficulty of any given adventure. |
| Q | How do I prepare for a trip? |
| A | Regardless of the difficulty of a trip, the more fit you are, the more you will enjoy your trip! Regular aerobic exercise well in advance of your departure date is the key to a fun journey. In addition, spend time reading up on your destination. This will help you to understand the culture and customs of your destination. |
| Q | Who books my flights? |
| A | We are more than happy to help you with your international flights. We work with several different agents who get fabulous deals to different parts of the world. Domestic flights (in your destination country) are normally arranged by us. |
| Q | What equipment is required? |
| A | Upon registering for a trip, you will receive a detailed itinerary, equipment list and information regarding your area of travel. |
| Q | How do I register for a trip? |
| A | Registering for a trip is accomplished by sending in your $500 deposit (please see our Contact Us page). Upon registration, you will receive a detailed itinerary, equipment list and information regarding your area of travel-from recommended immunizations to visa requirements. Trip details and logistics are handled by us, your job is simply to pack your duffel and get your camera ready! |

| Q | Do I need Travel Insurance? |
| A | Traveler’s insurance is required for all Mountain Spirits trips. As it is a personal preference, we do not include this in our Trip Land Cost. Your traveler’s insurance policy must include medical and evacuation coverage. We have had great luck with Travel Guard International: www.travelguard.com |
| Q | Is Adventure Travel safe? |
| A | Our guides are trained to take the utmost care in all areas of your trip, from trail safety to camp hygiene. Our experience and training gives us the ability to solve logistical and medical problems in the field. On trips involving altitude we carry a pressure chamber, oxygen and satellite phone. Our guides maintain current Wilderness First Aid & CPR certifications. We also take great care to be sure that our entire staff is properly equipped with good clothing, shoes and sleeping accommodations.
